Liberating Dance
Through my workshops, I offer you a tool to develop your ability to express feelings, needs and reactions. Liberating Dance (also called Freeing Dance) gives you the opportunity to get a greater awareness of what's happening in your body in an uplifting and playful way, but sometimes also with seriousness.
When the body is let to freely play through the dance, you are creating a new way to understand yourself that is different from what you are used to. Accompanied to music, from all genres, you (with the group) will go through the workshop program; step by step you will try exercises that will help you develop your new awareness of yourself and others.
‘Through my workshops, I offer you a tool to develop your ability to express feelings, needs and reactions’
Liberating Dance work through 7 rhythms: Shaking, The flowing movement, Clearness (Stacado), Chaos, Ease, Slowness, and your own dancing. Guided by me, you connect into your own inner universe but also into the dynamics of the group. In this way, the understanding of being, as well as the understanding of fellow human beings, is experienced at both collective and individual levels.
Liberating Dance is a unique journey into yourself and it is a process that you “customise” from where you are right now. Liberating Dance focuses on your body's possibilities and sets no demands on achievement or perfectionism. There is no definite way to dance in Liberatring Dance. You are your own tool and key for opening doors to secrets that live within you. In your own dance I can guide you into the entrance to your inner rooms - you decide your own space.
Liberating Dance is an endeavour to feeling good and developing your mind. It's a new way to work with art expressions. Everyone can dance regardless of gender, ethnicity, occupation or ages.
‘Liberating Dance is a personal growth tool that develops and deepens the intelligence and body's intelligence. Releasing Dance is a discovery of body and soul, a meditation of motion that strengthens the inner calm and activates the energy of life’ — Anne Grundel
Footnote: I'm not a therapist, and the workplace is also not a therapy form. However, the dance might have therapeutic effects on you.

Mask Dance workshop
The Mask Dance workshop is held for 3 full days and participants are given a genuine introduction in the mask dance function in a historical perspective as well as the basic elements of Mask Dance based on an animistic mindset that naturally influences the physical and mental work during the workshop. Mask / expression is first learned when participants master the foundation of the dance.
‘the participants are given a genuine introduction in partly the mask dance function in a historical perspective’
Participants will have an introduction and a lecture in the Greenlandic Drum Dance, which is the music used throughout the workshop. It is important to emphasize the creative learning process of the dance itself and the work of finding the specific urge of each participant. The mask dance workshop ends with a performance infront of an audience.
Maximum number of participants: 12
